Care and Maintenance

All LP® CanExel® siding finishes are long wearing and require only simple maintenance. With proper care and maintenance, LP CanExel siding will perform beautifully for years to come.

Before Installation
Before the siding is installed, it must be kept dry and flat. Store uninstalled siding on LP supplied pallets and keep covered with the LP supplied water-resistant shroud. Siding should never be stored in heated buildings, as this will dry out the siding.

After Installation
For best results, once installed, siding must be washed annually. 

1. Use non-abrasive household cleaners (according to manufacturer’s recommendations).
2. Test cleaners on a small area to ensure they do not damage the finish.
3. Rinse siding surface thoroughly after cleaning.
4. Power washers are not recommended for cleaning LP CanExel siding. If you must use a power washer, it must be set at low pressure.
